Hello! My name is Sara and I've been house-sitting as part of my international journey. I've studied and worked in Japan, which is where I started working on this idea! At first, I started as a professional babysitter in Tokyo for 2 years, and then housesitting for friends when they are on vacation, and eventually I started doing it more professionally! I have also house sat in Seoul, Budapest, Berlin, and Vienna. Basically, I have done a combination of housesitting, babysitting, and pet-sitting.

As for my love for pets, I have been vegetarian for almost 10 years! I simply love animals too much. Growing up, my parents never allowed me to have pets and so I would always search for any way possible for me to interact with them; albeit going to friends' houses that have pets and pet-sitting whenever I got the chance. Now that I am traveling around on my own, I get to seek this whenever I want and it's one of my favorite parts of travel!

I have experience with cats and small and big dogs, and I have owned an albino cornsnake! 🐍 And so I love cold-blooded animals as well.

For dogs, I usually do two 30 minute walks and one 1 hour long walk per day, and I feed them 3 times a day or as often as you prefer. For shy dogs, I would start by taking the small quiet roads and eventually introducing exposure to more open spaces. In case of emergencies, we would of course discuss it beforehand and I would let you decide what course of action you would like me to take. Ideally, you would connect me with your local vet so that I can contact them for you.

I am flexible enough to offer visits only, as well as staying over at your house to care for your pet around the clock :) With big dogs, I would usually leave them alone up to 6 hours, and small dogs up to 3 hours. For untrained dogs, I can use treats for positive reinforcement.

I would also send picture updates for every visit/day!
