Hi! I’m Masha! I grew up surrounded by animals - we’ve always had cats at home, many of whom I rescued from the streets or took in through acquaintances. When I was a teenager, I also convinced my family to get a dog - a Slovak Cuvac! So, I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience with both cats and dogs of all sizes and personalities. As a teenager, I also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I would take two or three shelter dogs (depended on their size) out for walks twice a week. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time with dogs beyond my own and gain experience handling animals with different personalities and backgrounds. Over the years, I’ve also gained quite a bit of experience caring for pets with special medical needs. My cat Mousey (the one wearing a cone in the photos!) was born prematurely and has several health issues. She’s missing a rib and some tail vertebrae, has unusually small teeth, and suffers from dermatitis, which makes her scratch herself frequently. She even managed to knock out one of her teeth, which eventually had to be removed to prevent infection! Our other cat, Volfik, is a rescue who had a burn on his paw when we found him. Thanks to caring for these two, I’m comfortable with administering medication, applying ointments, changing bandages, putting on protective cones, and trimming cats’ claws. Our dog Hector (also pictured!) has some congenital digestive issues, so I’ve had experience giving him medication too. And he’s a clever boy - hiding pills in his food never worked, so I had to learn how to give them to him directly. Of course, I’m also very familiar with everyday pet care, including feeding, grooming, playing, and keeping pets comfortable and happy. And big dogs? Absolutely no problem! Hector weighs around 50 kg and is incredibly strong, so I’m very comfortable handling larger breeds. Sadly, my own furry family members are still living back home with my parents, and I miss them terribly! Being away from them has made me realise just how much joy animals bring into my life. That’s also why I’d be absolutely delighted to spend time with your pets - I have so much love and affection to give, and I’d be more than happy to share it with your furry companions! Above all, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved pet in someone else’s care. I’ll always treat them with the same patience, attention, and love I give my own. And of course, I’ll be happy to send you plenty of photos and updates so you know your little (or not-so-little!) friend is in good hands. ❤️
